BATCAVE
The cave paintings at the sleepy tile factory pay tribute to the boars and bats who roam this territory as gnomes. The project investigates ways to cohabitate space with persons whose language we don’t speak nor whose writings we read. I wonder in which ways can we learn to relate to the spirits of a place, or engage in eye contact with police during a chase?
The attempt at communication was lost in translation and met with frustration from the tile factory owner. So I performed an erasure in favor of restoring the neighbor relations, and it became the symbolic death of the negotiations but also the proof of the life of the imprint.
