I, dance in the ashtray, let off stones.
Mise en abyme by Wørld & Valerie Mclaren;

The event at Boksen on Saturday September 20th invited audience into an immersive sensory night of listening, witnessing and participating in transitions between orientations of on-stage and off-stage performance. A playground where live musicians and DJs are paired with butoh, performance, or live projections, approximately simultaneously. In the hanging garden, no one sleeps.

Frequency woven into a world like wicker baskets, the transmutation of sonic ephemera into some new social fabric to be draped in, kept warm by. We are all stitched together by secret thread, with the beauty of gossamer and the strength of twine, by the simple magic of recombination. To remake the context is to remake the real, to recontextualise is to in effect make something entirely new from something spent. This process is not alchemy, nor a creation of something from nothing. This is not fantasy, not illusion, it is a wetting of the clay, so that our grasping towards something, our impassioned clawing at anything at all, might leave rivets in its surface.

This Space has been, and will be, intervened in.
It is at once in flux and stasis, painted-over and over, its gates twist and writhe, a mouth moving in the direction of a smile. Internally new assemblages upset and recompose the guts of this old place we inhabit, this new place we are constructing, this blooming-rotting thing we share in, this Space. This sinking way: dimensions (and slower) of comedown.

Procedurally Embodied Sonics warrior princess community mash-up open lab experiment.
